Easter Springwatch at Stackpole Estate

BBC’s popular Easter Springwatch programme on March 25th will be broadcast from the Stackpole Estate, near Tenby. Key spring highlights include swathes of daffodils, bluebells and wild garlic. Soon a host of seabirds, including razorbills, guillemots and gannets, will arrive at Stackpole’s stunning cliffs, where they can be seen fishing. Further inland reed and sedge warblers may be seen at the Castlemartin Corse, and otters have been spotted at sunrise at Bosherton Lakes. The team will also explore further afield in Pembrokeshire for signs of spring, and take part in a clean-up at top surfing beach at Freshwater West, organised by The National Trust, working in partnership with Keep Wales Tidy, the Marine Conservation Society, Natural Resources Wales and Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. The programme can be seen on BBC Two at 9 pm on Good Friday.
